Among the many things that I always wanted to do in my life, was to see the Mysore Palace lit up during Dasara. Last year that dream came true and I can assure you it is a sight worth seeing. During the day time, I had a look at those bulbs being used to light up the whole place and observed that they were of a special type. They can be inserted only into an unique holder. The reason is simple - prevent people from stealing it! After all what would you do with a bulb that can never be used anywhere except the palace. Talk of innovation!
